With personal experiences in developing keyless entry and auto security products for GM, Blaupunk, Mitsubishi,and other well-known manufacturers, Mr. Byung W. Min established Mytek Group in 1986.

Mytek Group started as Mytek Co. in Santa Fe Spring, CA and later changed its name to Mytek America when it relocated to Paramount, CA in 1990. At the same time, Mytek Korea Co. was established as a production facility in Korea. In 1995,Mytek America relocated to its own building and present address 8334 Foothill Blvd., Sunland, CA 91040. Mytek Korea Co. became Mytek Korea Inc.in June, 1997 and further divided into engineering company, Datastorm, and manufacturing company, Goldwell.
